The Sea of Cortez water temperatures vary quite dramatically season to season. The table below, is just to give you a rough guide on temps - it is always best to contact us with current sea temp related questions. Inside Bahia Concepcion, you can generally add 5 to 7 degrees on the temperatures below as the body of water in the bay heats up rather nicely.
The visibility also changes with the seasons. When the water is initially warming up, in the spring, the plankton blooms. this bloom attracts many of the larger animals in the Sea of Cortez. Then as the water really starts to warm up, the visibility increase because the plankton cannot grow in the ever increasing temperatures. Then, as the waters cool, in the relatively late months of November, that the plankton returns.
