PADI is the way most people learn to dive. There are others, BSAC, NAUI, SSI, to name a few, however PADI is by far the largest on a certification basis. The PADI system is comprised of modules that anyone over the age of 8 are allowed to take. PADI currently certifies over 550,000 new divers annually, while the total number of continuing education certifications swells that number to over 950,000 world wide - remember, those numbers are annual!

So all that said, PADI should be one of your choices for certifiying agency, when you decide to take the plunge. Cortez Explorers has teamed up with PADI to provide the highest level of diver training on the Baja coast. We are the ONLY PADI IDC School, which allows us to not only train the newest members of the diving cummunity, but also train the instructors of tomorrow.
